Hawksley – A long past and an exciting future
Hawksley is a long established business with a tradition of producing well-engineered, dependable products at very competitive prices.
Established in Oxford Street London in 1869 by Charles Hawksley the Company was bought in the 1930s by the renowned US business William Baum and began making precision blood pressure measuring equipment.
In the 1950's it began an advanced programme of ultra centrifuge development with Beckmann of the US. Out of this came the original Hawksley Haematospin 1400, which set the standard for Micro Haematocrit centrifuges for decades after.
In the 1960's we developed sophisticated patient warming systems and anti-decubitus mattresses which became the Ripple Heat, Ripple Cool and Air-Support mattresses that Hawksley makes today.
We are in a new phase of growth and development and the last two years has seen the addition of Chemistry and Haematology analysers as well as new centrifuges and the extended Veterinary range which can be seen on this website.
